Risk and provider checks
Evaluate the financial product and the provider separately from the technology story.
Identify the actual service
Find the legal entity that would provide the account, the instrument you would trade and the agreement that governs it. Verify relevant permissions through the regulator's own records. Do not infer authorisation from a logo, an AI label or a testimonial.
Question guaranteed outcomes
Be cautious about promises of extraordinary returns, urgent deposit bonuses or software that supposedly eliminates investment risk. The Investor.gov alert on AI investment fraud explains how technology claims can be used in investment scams.
Control account access
Before connecting an application, identify whether it can read records, place trades or withdraw funds. Granting one permission is different from granting all three. Read the provider's documented controls and understand how access can be revoked. This website does not ask you to connect a financial account.
Keep a decision record
- The product and possible loss.
- The independently checked legal entity.
- The full costs and account terms.
- The evidence behind any performance claim.
- The exact access requested by an application.
Seek qualified independent advice when the product or agreement is unclear.
